The Bluebird Theater was built as a movie house and opened in 1914. It closed in 1987 as a result of poor ticket sales and was reopened in 1994 after a $500,000 renovation – nearly half of which was paid for by the city of Denver’s redevelopment fund. AEG Live assumed ownership of the venue in 2006.
